Visits to Nannas' and Papas' are always fun, especially when there are cousins and baby lambs and baby goats to play with. And nothing beats a ride with Papa in the tractor! Eliza's been talking about it for weeks.

Zion with Friends

Our posts lag a little lately but here is a post from two weekends ago. Nathan, Susie, Kye and Sydney came to see us. We are really glad they did, it gave us an excuse to go to Zion. Here are some of our pictures and their post (a little more on top of it) has quite a few more. You will see that Kye and Eliza really did become fast friends.

First Gum

I just had to Post This, Goose got some gum in her Easter Candy and wanted to eat it. We explained that you only chew gum, not eat it. 2 hours later at dinner time look what we got back.

The Chia Pet Effect

Many of you may have heard of the Coriolis Effect, but there is another natural phenomenon do doo do do do not so well-known called the Chia Pet Effect.

What, you are asking yourself, is the Chia Pet Effect?

If you were to drive through Death Valley in July, a few words would be appropriate descriptors:
death
desolate
barren
hot

But drive through Death Valley in March after a wet spring, and you experience the Chia Pet Effect. Rocky hillsides fuzzy with tiny green leaves, and even some fields of wildflower color.

Beautiful.

Of course we had to hit the tourist highlights.

Winter Fun

I guess I have come to grips that we are not consistant bloggers. Life has caught up with us the last month and so blogging has taken a back seat. We still have gotten out to have some fun and here are some pictures.

Checkerboard Mesa, Zion NP

Our yearly snow outing to Bryce Canyon, NP.

We like to go in February and hit the cross-country ski and snowshoeing trails. This year, however, putting something long and awkward on our feet (well, Ang's feet) didn't sound like too good of an idea seeing as how carrying Nora in her front pack with a winter coat over her is about as close as you can get to being pregnant without really being pregnant...and we all know how graceful pregnant people are. :)

Oh, so cute wearing Elmo (this is Eliza's favorite outfit for Nora to wear).

You can't tell, but she's totally asleep. The only thing that woke her, was the snow falling on her face - after she'd been taken out of her backpack and laid in the snow for a bit.

A sucker and a goose, what more could you want?

Here's the fam! Eliza and Ang are wearing their Myanmar outfits in honor of Grandma and Grandpa coming home. We're sure glad they get to spend time with these two little munchkins.
